Tod is a commercial and operational executive, having held leadership and advisory roles over the past 20 years, including as GM at a multi-national space technology company. Tod’s day job is the Director Procurement at Ara Poutama Aotearoa, the Department of Corrections. Tod is a senior leader with a proven record of building and nurturing high performing teams and developing organisational growth specifically around commercial maturity and capability.
Tod has held senior positions across both public and private sectors in both sales, procurement and business leadership and development, cementing himself as a key trusted adviser.
Tod’s career began in in the mid 90’s with a sales and marketing role within a private defence contractor, a role which would eventually lead to an 8-year diplomatic career with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade, and the opportunity to work with customers across a broad range of sectors including technology, geospatial, construction, tertiary, banking and more recently space.
As well as his Director role for Transparency International New Zealand, Tod sits on a number of Boards and Committees both in NZ and overseas, and is a proud NZ Regional Business Awards Judge.
