Online public engagement has begun on New Zealand’s fourth Open Government National Action Plan, and you can get involved!
As a member of the Open Government Partnership, New Zealand develops National Action Plans to set commitments for the government to meet, which are undertaken across the system. Te Kawa Mataaho Public Service Commission develops these plans on behalf of Government.
This is your chance to have your say and help shape New Zealand’s future.
The Commission wants a diverse range of voices to participate in this important conversation – and to engage on open government issues. These issues fall under three main themes:
- Active citizenship & partnership
- Responsiveness
- Transparency & accountability
See the purpose document, Open Government in Aotearoa New Zealand: What it is, and why it matters, and other resources for more information on what it’s all about.
On Thursday 25 February the online Delib platform was launched, where you can join the conversation and contribute your ideas. The platform will run for two months and will feature a range of questions and challenges.
Join the kōrero and help spread the message!
