In conjunction with the Transparency International’s Pacific Program, we have produced a digital storytelling video featuring TINZ Deputy Chair and Pacific Committee Chair Debbie Gee talking about our Pacific Programme for 2024-2028
The program is about a regional approach to fight corruption in the Pacific Transparency International New Zealand.
One of the big challenges is the opaqueness of financial systems which enables money laundering. We would like to see more transparency on the flow of money and get an idea of who are the winners and who are the losers from dirty money.
We intend to do research across the region into what some of those impacts are and who's also benefiting. We hope to gain intelligence to help us to address the problem longer term.
We are also going to be developing online training modules that can be shared across the chapters and facilitate learning across all of the chapters in the Pacific sharing of information, ideas, skills and knowledge through online opportunities for building capability and giving a stronger voice to Transparency International in the Pacific.
