TINZ letter regarding the OGP Implementation Review Mechanism

Ahead of the next Conference of State Parties (CoSP) to be held in Qatar in late 2025, discussions are in plan for UNCAC States Parties to produce a draft resolution on how the IRM’s next phase should look.

In our letter to Ambassador Andrew Williams, New Zealand Representative to the United Nations, TINZ points out that the current UNCAC review mechanism suffers from numerous weaknesses that prevent the UNCAC from truly living up to its potential. The current review of the process is an opportunity to work with other States to turn the UNCAC into a truly global anti-corruption force.
